Overview

All our Physiotherapists are members of the Health Professions Council and Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. This ensures you are seeing a professional who has completed an approved degree course and is governed by set standards and a Professional Code of Conduct.

Clients can therefore expect high standards of clinical competence and to be treated respectfully and professionally at all times.



Paul Baker BSc (Hons) MCSP

Paul qualified as a Physiotherapist in 1997 & after working 2 years in the NHS he established goPhysio Ltd, to provide a professional private physiotherapy service in the local area.

Through Paul’s extensive experience working with the British Army & in private practice, he has developed a specialist interest and expertise in treating lower limb overuse injuries e.g. running injuries & knee pain.

Through Paul’s part time role as a physiotherapist to the Hampshire School of Excellence (Hampshire’s adolescent golfing academy), he has also become extremely knowledgeable & specialist in treating adolescents & golfing injuries.

Paul also has a special interest in treating patients suffering with neck & back pain, offering a wide variety of cutting edge treatments, from the most up to date spinal manipulation to using 'Theraflex: back care for the 21st century!'

Although Paul is a company director at goPhysio, his main role within the company is as a senior physio, happiest when he is treating patients & not on the computer!

 


Richard Knowlton BSc (Hons) MCSP

Richard qualified in 1999 and since then has gained expert experience and knowledge in treating a wide range of injuries, in a variety of NHS and private clinical settings.

He has a wealth of experience rehabilitating patients post operatively following hip & knee replacements, ACL reconstruction & arthroscopy. He has also worked as a lead clinician in a specialist hand injuries unit treating a wide variety of hand injuries, including fractures, tendon repairs & nerve injuries.

He has also worked as a senior physiotherapist in A&E, where he has developed specialist skills in the rehabilitation of acute traumatic injuries.

Richard has developed a wide range of treatment techniques, through his practice & regular post-graduate training. He is also a qualified acupuncturist & enjoys treating spinal & sporting injuries.

When not working Richard enjoys his time in the gym & playing golf.

 



Karen Reay MCSP Grad Dip Phys

Karen qualified as a physiotherapist in 1988 and after working in a busy NHS teaching hospital for 15 years and more recently in a local private hospital, has become a specialist in her field.
She spent 5 years as a senior physiotherapist in a regional Rheumatology unit treating osteoarthritis , rheumatoid arthritis , fibromyalgia & osteoporosis.

Karen has an array of experience rehabilitating patients after spinal surgery, arthoscopies, and hip, shoulder & knee joint replacements.

Karen is also a qualified Pilates instructor and combining this with her physiotherapy experience, she has become highly skilled at teaching Pilates on a 1 to 1 basis in a class environment.
Karen also especially enjoys treating spinal conditions and the rehabilitation of balance & posture in the elderly population.

 


Natalie Stephenson BSc (Hons) MCSP

Natalie qualified as a physiotherapist in 2003 and has since been working in the NHS, within private and corporate settings and also with local rugby and football teams. She has gained advanced knowledge and experience within these areas.

Natalie has developed a large variety of skills from treating sport injuries and rehabilitating patients back to full fitness, to treating people suffering from lower back pain, general strains and sprains. In addition, her experience working within a corporate environment has given her a broad knowledge of occupational injuries and the best way to treat them.

Natalie has an extensive range of assessment and treatment skills gained from regular post-graduate training and through clinical practice. She is a qualified acupuncturist and prides herself in rehabilitating people to achieve the high levels of fitness needed for their sporting and working lives.

 



Fiona Moir BSc (Hons)

Fiona qualified with a first class honours degree in Physiotherapy in 1997. She has worked in many settings, including NHS, Ministry of Defence and private practice. She now combines her role as Director and practice manger at goPhysio with looking after 3 young children.

 



Linda Negus

Linda has been with goPhysio since the opening of their Chandlers Ford clinic in 2006. Her main role at goPhysio includes making appointments, dealing with enquiries and meeting and greeting clients. Linda runs our computerised diary management programme from Chandlers Ford and is able to deal with appointments at any of our clinics from this centralised system.
