Clinical Yoga

Are you keen to get into yoga but don’t know where to start? Did you previoulsy enjoy yoga but have had an injury that means you had to stop? There are many things that can worry you about taking part a yoga class for the first time; perhaps you feel that you’re not fit or flexible enough or maybe you’re not sure if you should be doing yoga at all with a certain health condition or injury.

Here at goPhysio, we now offer 1-2-1 and small group clinical yoga! This will begin with an assessment by Gemma – one of our motivating physios who has done specialist training in yoga, as well as being a keen yogi herself.

Gemma will carry out a thorough movement and postural screen, discussing any health or injury issues with you and introduce you to the fundamentals of yoga. From there you can choose to continue with 1-2-1 sessions or share the cost with small group sessions (up to 3 people).  All of the exercises can be adapted for people with aches, pains or injuries so you can be assured that you will be exercising in a safe and relaxing environment. Gemma will help you develop confidence with yoga, learning short routines that you can practice both at home and here in our studio.

The best thing is these sessions are completely flexible; you can book in a day and time that suits you and begin making progress towards your individual goal – whether that’s to touch your toes or to combat your back pain – the sessions will be tailored towards your needs. You can also book as few or as many sessions as you feel you need, there’s no pressure to join a class at the end!
