Class Passes

Class passes can be used to attend not only yoga, but also our Active Backs classes to help people with back pain, Positive Steps exercise classes for 60+ and our Pregnancy Pilates classes.

Class passes are normally priced at:

£12.50 single class (1 month expiry)

£55 for a 5 class pass (2 month expiry)

£100 for a 10 class pass (3 month expiry)

Yoga at goPhysio

We offer 3 great Yoga classes at our comfortable, air conditioned studio in Chandlers Ford.

Gentle Yoga – Tuesday’s 10 – 11am with Marianne

This class is intended for people with reduced mobility. Typically, we start with a short relaxation to prepare the body and eliminate tensions and fatigue, followed by a gentle warm up. Warm muscles allow smoother and easier moves. The body is then ready for moderately energetic sequences and postures. In the sessions Marianne tends to use props (blocks, belts, chairs), so postures can be adapted to each student, according to their individual body. The pace is slower than in a classic yoga class. The emphasis is on breath exercises, joint work and relaxation. Marianne also teaches at Yogalite.

Restorative Mat Yoga – Thursday’s 10 – 11am with Michelle

Suitable for all levels of fitness, working with seated, laying or kneeling positions on the floor. The postures are held for longer periods of time, with the use of props, to allow the body to release into the pose. This style of yoga is suitable for all and works with restoring the body back to equilibrium. Calming and rejuvenating to body, mind and soul.

Himalayan Hatha Yoga – Thursday’s 1.30 – 2.30pm with Michelle

Classes are a strong yet supportive style of yoga suitable for all levels from beginner to more experienced. Be open to challenging yourself and watch yourself grow in all directions, using the breath to recharge and revitalise your body and mind.

New exercise class for back pain sufferers in Chandlers Ford

Back pain affects nearly everyone at some point in their life. After stress, back pain is the second most common reason for taking time off of work, with some 4 million working days lost through back pain every year. Unfortunately for some people, back pain can become a recurrent & persistent part of their life.

There isn’t always an obvious cause of back pain, and many factors such as poor posture, working conditions, driving and lifting can all contribute.

Research has shown though that staying physically active is the key to helping back pain. Recent guidelines from the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) recommend that regular physical activity & exercise in combination with education can help people manage their low back pain.

It is based on these guidelines that here at goPhysio, we have developed a new educational & exercise course called Active Backs.

Paul Baker, goPhysio’s Clinical Director, says

“So many people we see are afraid to move when they have back pain. They are scared they are going to cause more damage. As long as anything serious has been ruled out, movement is the key to helping improve your back pain in the long term.”

“All the research agrees that by being educated how to manage your back pain and learning how to exercise correctly, you will be able to gain confidence in using your back correctly. This will help you not only reduce your pain but also prevent it coming back again.”

The programme is thought to be the first one of it’s kind in the area. Classes are run every Tuesday from 11.15am – 12.15pm.

Active Backs will include both an educational element, covering weekly topics such as posture, coping strategies and relaxation. It will also include a weekly exercise circuit to help strengthen and stretch your muscles and improve your fitness. Through coming to Active Backs we aim to help you achieve your goals.

The course will be run by one of our dedicated Clinicians and numbers are limited to six, to ensure that everyone receive the individual attention they require. It is going to be held in our new ‘Strong Room’. fully equipped with resistance training, weights, balls and mats, and equipment designed to help you get the most from exercising for your spine.

New Studio Bookings App

We are delighted to be launching a range of new classes this spring to help further support your physical health and wellbeing.

These will include Yoga, Positive Steps exercise classes for older people and Active Backs guided exercise classes to promote a positive way to manage back pain.

These new classes will all be easily managed online via a new online software called Studio Bookings.

How to book

  1. Visit our Studio Bookings page 
  2. Click on the ‘MY INFO’ tab, this will enable you to create a free account
  3. Click on the ‘STORE’ tab to purchase class passes. There are 3 options to purchase classes. A single class (PAYG) costs £12.50 (valid for 1 month), a 5 class pass costs £55 (valid for 2 months) and a 10 class pass costs £100 (valid for 3 months). The class passes will be valid to use for any of the classes on our Studio Calendar – they will not be used to book Pilates, which will still need to be booked via the clinic directly.
  4. Before booking your first class, click on ‘MY INFO’ and then ‘Waiver of Liability’. Read the pdf waiver document and click ‘Sign Here’ to sign the waiver. Through the ‘My INFO’ tab you can also update any communication preferences, your personal details and see your payment and class booking history.
  5. Click on ‘CLASSES’ to see the scheduled classes. Select your chosen class, make sure you’re logged in and select the classes you’d like to book. Click ‘Book Now’. Your class credits will automatically be adjusted.
  6. Through this system you can book classes, buy class passes and cancel classes (24 hours notice is required to cancel any classes). You can also see your past and future bookings.
